Ordered myself a bunch of nicer cleaning bits from Clean Your Car:

The Chemical Guys Citrus Wash is sublime - incredibly concentrated so a cap-full virtually overwhelmed my bucket, foamed nicely and washed off to leave a really nice shine.
The Sonus glyde and clay was an interesting experience - I did this late on in the day so the clay was hard to knead with the cooler air and car, which may have caused a little scuff on the boot despite using the entire bottle of luber! It's left a fantastic clarity to the bodywork, though.
The Dodo Juice drying towel I'm undecided about - it's very, very soft and grabs a reasonable amount of water, but pat drying was a pain with it and when I grabbed my AutoGlym artificial chamois and it put it to shame. Is there a trick to these towels?
The Scratch X I used the following morning on three places - under the door handled and on the top of the bumper where the previous owner had been a bit lax with placing luggage in the boot. I should have really taken photos of this, but it did a reasonable job for a hand polisher. It's taken the worst of the greyness from the fingernail marks under the handles - the deep ones are still there but it's brought a bit of shine back. Likewise the boot - it's made the scuffs much less prominent and only the deepest remain noticeable. It buffs out to a wax once you've rubbed it for long enough, so there must be a mild element of filling going on. For a quick fix I'd highly recommend it.
