Saw this today on facebook, somebody uses his e89 z4 for a celebrity pet taxi business in America & has clocked 500000 miles with only routine maintenance and the odd clutch/sump gasket replacement.
It’s an N20 engined 28i manual 8)

I'm not surprised as our 35i is close to 100K and drives like new. Better touch wood, but zero issues since we bought it 7 months ago, aside from water leak caused by clogged drains. Only one code ('fogging sensor').
Z4 E85-89 for sale with 100-150k miles are quite common in the US. A quick search shows 8 such cars within 80km of me. Which is one reason I was confident buying a used car with 60k miles. It was hard to find a stick with low miles. I finally came to the conclusion that anybody who bought a stick shift Z4 drove the hell out of it. They are just that much fun
