High mileage Z4MR - what work to catch up on

Hi yall,

I'm seriously considering buying a Z4M roadster in the near future. I can find decent looking choices on the standard car sale sites, but they usually don't come with real maintenance records on the carfax. I'm trying to make a plan of what work to expect buying a well driven example that"drives with no issues", but may have a lot of deferred maintenance. I've done all my own work on a separate platform, short of body work and engine or transmission rebuilds, so I'm not afraid of a serious project.

My list so far:

Rod bearings
VANOS stuff
Valve adjustment
Coolant system
Shocks struts bushings mounts

What other things would you tack on for a car that's been driven plenty over its life?

Is it fair to say engine wise, as long as it has good compression and I cover the aforementioned bases, that previously deferred maintenance won't impact long term health?
