High milage

I've just read a thread where Cool Z4 had clocked up 236K before being wiped out by a Nissan. I was wondering if there are any more really high milers out there?

If they can last that long I should be able to take mine into retirement and beyond. ldman:

Well mine has just hit 70k :roll: I'm guessing the engines are good for quite a few more miles than that if they are well maintained though! It's more likely all the suspension components, steering rack, bushes, bearings, clutch, etc that will fail long before the engine.

Considering the Z4's share a lot of powertrain components with the 3-series, I'd say 200k is not a big deal for these things. Also considering Z4's contain less electronics than the 3-series, that would add a little more cushion to the long-life theory.
