Well fitted the HID's last night and took me about three hours in the end. Its so tight to work in there but i soon realised it is easier with the wheels on full lock to the same side you are working on rather than opposite....if you get me. There was vertually knowhere to put the ballast/controller on the offside and i was in such a rush with the first one i forgot to test it before closing it all up and guess what......you guessed it, it didnt work but soon realised it could only be down to the polarity of the original bulb connector. I was not also too immpressed with the hid bulb retainers supplied with the kit and if anything falls over it will be them. Very plesed with the result though and being 50W they are very bright and at 6000K very white.

6000k is blue-white. 4000k-4300k is 'daylight' and standard. The higher you go up the colour temperature, the less actual visible light you produce.

Standard ones are 35w and they're not what you'd call lacking, but if a 50w bulb isn't putting out more light, then that extra wattage will simply be producing waste heat which may affect your lenses.

Make sure your lights are aligned properly, otherwise you'll end up being one of the 'chav with dazzling lights' camp :P

Looks pretty white to me. I had 8000K on my 330ci and thought they were too blue and after 2 years seemed a bit dull but these are defo brighter. :D
