Hidden roof function ?

Just got an e85 to replace my existing one and found out when i have unlocked the car if i put the key into lock turn it horizontal and hold it there , the roof and windows go down,??? But have to press the dash button to put it up ,Never noticed this on my old existing one,do they all do this ,??
Cant try it on my other z as it has the gaptech fitted.

Do the windows and roof also go down if you press and hold the unlock button on the key?

Mine do, but don't go up when holding the lock button - need to code that on NCS Expert. Its on my 'to do' list.

Nope.
Just tried it,only works with the key

Mine will go down if I hold the unlock button on the key down and will go up if I use the key to lock the car and hold it in the horizontal

After 9 yrs of Z ownership i never knew that.
Hence fitting the gaptech.
This old dog has just learned somatt.

It depends how the key is coded, some do and some dont, but it can be coded pretty easily with Carly.

Moz, if you want the key to open and close the roof i'll bring my Carly adaptor next week to the lakes and we can sort it (or something closer to home if easier)?

I knew mine put roof down holding key to open but didn’t know the other truck with key in lock!! Must try this tomorrow.

You could switch the gaptech from the old to the new? Have you stuck with a 2.5 again or gone bigger?

There both 3.0 auto.
Gotta be a 3ltr chasing u round the peak dist
