Hi all, been watching forum for a while and lots of helpful info. One problem I've had with my Z4 is the lights are too dim to really light the road in front. 2003 3.0se, I haven't got xenons. I've seen this kit advertised on ebay promising the world; anyone got any experience with it or similar? or any other reasonable ideas to help the problem appreciated. Thanks.

The biggest problem with a retrofit is you don't have the self-leveling of a true OEM Xenon. Others have retrofitted without problem.

Have you tried getting some really bright halogens? PIAA and Sylvania make them. From having had Xenons on my 325 and on my Z4, I love them, BUT they are more focused than halogens and have a much sharper drop-off in illumination. On "dim" I don't think I see as far as with halogens. The biggest difference is they really light up any reflective surface (eg, street signs or roadway reflectors). Find someone with xenons and give them a try before you go to the expense to change them. I know here in the states, you might not pass inspection with a retrofit.
