Hello all. I've had my Z4 for just under a couple months and have been lurking here enough that I thought it was probably time to make an account.

I've absolutely loved this car since I was little and it's nice to see there's still a community for them.

Can't wait to start tinkering...

Hi and welcome to the forum! It’s a 2003, right? They should have the wiring in place for many many mods!
 
I don’t remember the exact month it ended, but iirc it was in 2004. I’m sure someone will chime in. The early models had wiring for several option available, e.g. power seats, seat heating and phone connecivity, even if the option wasn’t ordered. Mine was build in August 2005 and has only wiring for options in the vehicle order — thus when replacing manual seats with M-sport power seats I had wiring for seat heating as per VO but had to add new wires for powering seat movement.

Understood. Is there a full list somewhere? I'm thinking about adding cruise control at some point in the future and I assume that's the kind of thing that might have some wiring in place already... :-D
