Hi, just joined. I've bought an 06 plate 2.5. Really good order other than a worn bolster and a dead roof motor.
Who's the nearest to Scotland for a repair, please ?

I'm more into older cars. Here's my 1960 Sunbeam Alpine, handily fitted with a breathed on 5 litre V8. Finally on the road after a 7 year rebuild. I sold a rather rare BMW E21 Baur to get my Z 😀

Hello and welcome on board.
Cracking looking Sundbeam, bet that sounds nice and is also very lively.
You keeping your Z standard or doing a few tweaks like getting it off those 17" wheels :poke:

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Your Alpine must be great fun!

The nearest roof motor expert to Scotland is forum member "Durham Dave", who is obviously a bit South of the border.

You mean 16” :poke:

Welcome to the forum, love your Sunbeam, any videos of it running, we love photos and videos. There is plenty of info on here to keep your Zed fit and well.
There are also members who will get you spending money on it, as above

On a recent 2 week road trip around beautiful Scotland I broke down and was very fortunate to end up at the door of Douglas Dando and team at B & M (BMW and Mini) Centre in Clydebank. I cannot praise them enough to get my Z back up and running having had the Valvetronic motor fail on day 2. I totally recommend them as a team that truly love BMWs and they even valeted my car including a steam clean of the engine bay. Honest and proper garage

Thank you all. I'll be keeping the wheel size as is, not a fan of low profile tyres, given the state of our roads. Looks like I'll be calling Durham Dave soon 😀.
I'll see what I can do about Sunbeam photos/ video
