Hi All,

Newcomer to the forum and the UK.

I might need some advice while buying a second-hand G29 M40i. I am totally new to the UK and second-hand buying; therefore, I'll go for approved cars at this stage.

Could you please let me know, which parts to check for a 2019-2020 G29 M40i specifically?

Also, I'll be happy to know the people around Cambridge UK for any future club rides.

Well if we are starting a 'book' I will go with pharmaceutical research @ 5-1. :)
 
Hello and welcome, M40i is an excellent choice, touch wood but there’s no huge or large volume issues with them so far that have been reported on here so no specific check list. Buying approved will also give you peace of mind for at least a year, then there’s the option of taking out an extended warranty when the manufacturer one expires.

There’s the issue with the brake backing plate design but not something that you can check. Just happens sporadically and if you’re unlucky.

One thing for me would be check the packs it comes with. A lot is not retrospective fit. Decide what extras you need and make sure the car you’re looking at has them :thumbsup:
