after years of e46 and e39 ownership i have now got myself a z4 3.0i manual on 04 plate in sirling grey. Pretty high miles on 111k but at a price that reflects that. I have always bought high milers to allow me to get the type of car i want so of course i have to understand that i will have niggles. The z4 does have a couple and the biggest is the 1st and 2nd gear notchy. I know a lot suffer from this so my first port of call is to replace the gearbox oil. I just wanted some info on the best gearbox oil to put in. The chances are it may not of been replaced just like a previous 535 i had with 130k on it. Made a huge difference when i changed that. So yeah any info would be much appreciated. I have heard that replacing the mtf lt2 with a redline atf oil could be good. Just very unsure though so look forward to your replies.

Make sure you replace your diff fluid as well. Hope that helps.
