Chaps,

Driving home from Gatwick last night and I notice the head lights aren't stretching out ahead very much... in fact on the sections of the motorway that are unlit, it was pretty scary!

Stopped at the services and switched off, locked car, unlocked and switched ignition on. The Xenons didn't do a dip down up then level routine, like they should (well, they've done it on all cars I've had before with Xenons).

For the life of me I can't remember if the Z4 did it or not... but they are definateley not very high, like they are stuck at the lowest setting.

Anyone know an common issues? My car is a 2007 Z4MR.

Booked in to the stealers Monday, where they also mentioned my broken glovebox hinge wouldn't be covered under warranty :(

maybe one of the suspension sensors has failed/ got damaged?

Mine also dont do the dancing thing if turned off and one recently... but the first time power up they dip and rise... as they go from dark blue to white.

I remember driving home one night that people were flashing me so I checked my lights. The beam was fairly high so I switched them off and on but this didn't cure the problem. I had to turn the engine off and on and only then they did the 'auto leveling' thing. I remember I had the lights left to the on position the previous time. Now I alway turn them off when leaving the car and turn them back on when driving off. Never had the issue again so far.
