Help With Alarm Issue ??

Hi,

I've got an annoying fault with the alarm on my recently purchased Z4 (2005 2.2 model)

When i set the alarm by locking the car from the fob , after 30 seconds the alarm sounds,

Ive checked / disconnected the bonnet switch after a few threads on here suggested that is a common fault, still the same

tried setting with the internal sensor and tilt sensor disabled by doudbe pressing the lock button, still the same.

tried setting with the fuel flap open (incase the plunger was not sitting all the way home), still no joy

the lights in the boot and centre cubby storage go off when the car is locked which suggest the system knows theyre closed properly ?

alaso checked the battery voltage which seems fine (stays above 12.5v)

ive got a cable and inpa software on order will this help me detect the fault ?

would i be able to simply unplug the alarm system or will i need to alter the coding ?

When you check the voltage has it been left overnight? If it's just been switched off after running you won't have an accurate reading.

yes , battery checked after being left overnight , also tried with the battery on trickle charge ovenight too
