Help wanted - SWMBO says I can have new wheels :)

Have been granted authority to buy some new shiny wheels for my 3.0 Coupe, with new tyres too.

So I don't want to stray from 18" (Currently running MV2s) and want to keep as close to the staggered / offsets as standard (8jx18 et47 fronts and 8.5jx18 et50 rears)

Tyres standard sizes and tempted to keep to RFTs - anyone got good experiences with latest generation versions? (255/35/18's & 225/40/18's iirc)

Really like 202 elipsoids,

, don't want 108s (nor 107s really) and don't want anything too fiddly.

All thoughts / web links / part-ex offers considered!

Got them already - didn't like the offset when hooning, now relegated to winters after the odd incident with local kerbs

If you mean they were rubbing then standard 3.0 si tyre sizes would eliminate that :wink:

Am going to be a party popper now , I got rid of my ellipsoids as I was not the biggest fan. There not bad but if I was getting new wheels would not be looking at these. But this is IMO only so get what you feel looks best why not try some on your Zed at a meet swap with someone? would only take 20/30 mins to do? That way your know 100%

After being on a few Scottish runs then I'd say yes - a11y has 202s and the spokes are deeper and the face is more 3d. Have threatened to pinch them when he wasn't looking

I am too after a set of 203's, you can always buy them from BMW, I think the fronts are £314 each, rear £337 each without tyres!
