Afternoon all

I have just been under proofing my 2003 Z4 and have found this wire / plastic thing behind the driver's side front wheel. I've no idea what it is or where it's meant to be! Anyone able to help please before I put the wheel back on?

Thanks! 20230413_123220.jpg

Also it has three wires but one is broken. I've not had any warning lights come on though. Will I need to repair this?

Outside temp sensor?

I was wondering that but the outside temperature gauge is working and i would have thought that as this one has a wire broken that would make the temperature not work?

I don't have Xenon lights either so am hoping it's from some loom I don't need!

This was my next question. Not sure what it is then. Maybe something aftermarket no longer on the car? Isn't there an electrical plug for the washer pump up that way somewhere?

Almost certain that's for a xenon levelling sensor. Have a look on the diagonally opposite corner for its oppo.

check Figure 7 here...

If it isn't that then it may be for the temperature sensor for the heated headlamp washers. The temp sensor for the dash display is on the passenger side.
