Help !!! Top hose O ring

So doing the oil filter/cooler seals on the n52 , got my ok but the top hose O came out and it doesn’t want to back in
Can these be replaced? Just my bloody luck

From what I’ve seen online, that o-ring is 38mm OD and 4mm thick. Some say to replace it with a viton o-ring for better durability. Unfortunately have not checked if the measurement is right or wrong.
 
Try some vegetable oil on it to lube it.
My cars pipe didn't come apart, is the ring supposed to hold O ring in?
 
Find a local seal company and take the ring with you.
Get a few sizes smaller and try.
Keep in mind they can be a right pain to fit until fully seated.
Bit out there pop it in the fridge for a few hours.
