Help !!! Top hose O ring

So doing the oil filter/cooler seals on the n52 , got my ok but the top hose O came out and it doesn’t want to back in
Can these be replaced? Just my bloody luck

That’s a bugger, seems to also be fitted to other bmws

From what I’ve seen online, that o-ring is 38mm OD and 4mm thick. Some say to replace it with a viton o-ring for better durability. Unfortunately have not checked if the measurement is right or wrong.

May buy a top hose just in case

Try some vegetable oil on it to lube it.
My cars pipe didn't come apart, is the ring supposed to hold O ring in?

It’s apart no probs , the O ring has come out but getting it back in is impossible, it’s swollen

Find a local seal company and take the ring with you.
Get a few sizes smaller and try.
Keep in mind they can be a right pain to fit until fully seated.
Bit out there pop it in the fridge for a few hours.
