HELP: Random orange dome lighting on? Pics inside

Hi all, new z4 owner here so maybe this is more of a feature than a bug...

The lights in the pictures light up randomly (interior side orange leds by the dome lights). In my last 10 drives maybe about 3-4 times.

Can't really find the logic so I assume must be some sort of error indication?

I have cleaned the error in the dash since I changed my parking lights so I deactivated checking the voltage for all front lights and markers.

Other than that I changed a few bulbs in the interior to LED (Phillips high quality LED). I cannot exactly tell when this lights started to randomly appear.

In addition, Carly App for which I removed the dash codes is showing up this error now, see picture. But the car runs fine, battery not draining...

In a nutshell:
- Changed parking lights to LED
- Changed interior lights to LED
- Dome orange lights lit up randomly (is this an error? a feature of the car? what's the on/off logic?)
- Error in Carly up for "chassis electronics"
- Car, exterior and interior lights run fine. No erros on the dash.

It’s a feature I believe, either that or mine has the same problem at night never thought to associate it with an issue, in either case I like it!

Those lights are the illuminating down lights that cast an orange glow over the lower dash and gear knob- they should come on when your lights are switched on?

I see, that makes sense! However, what's the logic. Sometimes they go on during daylight too. Is it possible its connected to the low beams or automatic settings for the low beams? Thanks, I'll open a separate thread for the error code on the app.
