Help, please! Bluetooth/phone connection problem.

Telephone Bluetooth - Galaxy/Android - has worked for 3+ years. No problems. No have car messages, 'Bluetooth menu' and 'Add new device'.

Try, but phone & car want each other's PIN numbers of phone & car (which I'm sure they didn't originally). The phone suggests, 'Try 0000 or 1234'. Neither works and I don't know the real ones.

I don't know what to do. Please help.

Have you tried putting the same numbers in both the phone and the car at the same time

Sometimes it gets confused..explicitly removing the device from both Bluetooth tables and re-pair completely fresh after a full power off on both devices should clear it..

Has happened to me twice in 3 years..

Thank you very much for the help so far. Have ... by being suspicious of 'Big Brother Branson' ... found the solution.

A few weeks ago, Virgin sent me a new SIM, saying that I had "ordered" it. I HAD NOT, so I didn't put it in my phone. The phone continued to work, but one day recently Bluetooth just stopped. I assumed there was a fault.

Just now, I've put in the new SIM and used Virgin's default SIM PIN to pair phone and car. And ... bingo!

However, at no point did Virgin tell me that Bluetooth would be disabled if I didn't change the SIM. And it's not difficult to imagine circumstances - between when they disabled it and I found out - where that could have been critical.

That's a bit of a dodgy procedure!
Glad you found the problem though. May help others in the same situation.
