Hi,
I’m storing the battery from project zed in the garage while we are away so it doesn’t run down and set the alarm etc off. The battery has a vent tube- do I need to leave the vent tube in for storage?

The vent tube is for the gasses that develop during the power generation. As you are not using the battery, it is not required

What would you connect it too?
The hole is always there. The tube in the car just directs it outside.

You can’t really store a battery. It’ll naturally discharge over time and if left flat it’ll wreck it. You need to leave it one of this battery optimiser things.

Thanks everyone for the advice. The tube came out with the battery from the car. It’s only being stored briefly while I’m away so it doesn’t discharge and set the car alarm off. Can’t trickle charge it as my Z is on trickle..
