Help no telephone numbers !!!???

I have gone through the step by step guide to pair my phone with my car, with the end result ' PAIRING SUCCEEDED'. after turning the ignition to position 0 , concludes the pairing process. when all switched back on when i go into the telephone menu, it says..... my telephone book is EMPTY, Does the car not transfer the numbers to it or do i have to transfer it from the phone to the car.....help

Depends what phone you have and what Bluetooth module / software... I think. If you have the nav then you may need to upgrade to the latest software, which IIRC is v.32.

Are your numbers on the phone or on the SIM?

It takes a while for them to appear on the system though ...

on the sim, and i have waited while it said...please wait.....then comes up with ' no numbers '

You might find it only reads numbers from the phone and not the SIM.

Add a number into the phone and see if that is visible.

Didn't think anybody stored numbers in the SIM any more.

There is indeed no way that the car reads it from the sim.

ahh, so my phone does not show names or numbers on the sat nav screen, waste of time then. unless i am willing to find a mobile compatible to the car.

iPhone works perfect for both numbers / names etc on the satnav sreen.

yep mrs w has iphone which pairs no problem with names showing , the car will allow you to have multiple phones logged .
my phones are sony ericsson . strange why one does & one does not show the phonebook
