I am currently assembling material for a book, that will specifically deal with the role of the motorcycle in WW2, by Allied forces and civilian organisations such as the Police and Fire Service. Details of the various bikes used are already well documented, but I am trying to find the stories, anecdotes and photographs of veterans who were there at the time. As the end of the War was nearly seventy years ago, we are obviously looking at a fast diminishing number of veterans with stories to tell, so if you know of anyone, whether a relation or relation of a friend, that may be able to provide a story or information, however large or small, I would be pleased to hear from you or them, either by PM or via [email protected]
Being a bit of an 'oldie' myself, I'm sure there are many ways that this appeal could be spread, that I don't know about, so any help with this would also be much appreciated.
