Help needed with steering wheel badge replacement

Just put my recovered Royals steering wheel on today. Really pleased with it but the badge on the horn looks a bit shabby and could do with replacing. Can anyone tell me how it comes off? Is it clipped in place or just stuck on? I have a new one and it just looks as if it sticks on. I am a bit loathe to try and take the original off until I know for sure how it is fastened on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The original os a thin alloy pressed badge that has 4 legs that lock it into the airbag. It cannot be removed other than cutting it off. It's built this way so I'm the event of deployment it stays fixed.
You shouldn't really mess with it, but perhaps a decal on it is the safe option

Thanks for that very swift response. The new badge I have might just stick over the top. I'll have a look. However, more than likely I'll play safe and leave well alone.
