help needed with iffy service history

Hi

im thinking about buying a 53 plate 3.0se with 55k miles. The service history is part bmw and local garage with mostly oil changes and two inspection 1's. It has never had an inspection 2. Should it have had an inspection 2 by now?

I would say it's due about now working on 13-15k service intervals.

It should have had an oil service every two years as a minimum though.

Cheers so the 15k interval isnt just between inspections it's between oil changes and inspections so it would go oil -15k -insp 1 - 15k - oil - 15k - insp 2 - 15k - oil - 15k -insp 1 etc etc

Pretty much. It's already based on the amount of fuel used hence the variation. There could be a few oil services between the inspections though if not enough miles are covered in two years.
