Help me find a new bonnet badge

A seemingly easy task, one would think, but it appears not

i can find a plethora of bmw roundels on ebay, but no z4 specific, the part no is 51147044207 and i reckon a stealer will want £25 off of me, can anyone recommend me an alternative??

Just measure the size and pick one from ebay? It is only the diameter that matters ...
 
im in need of some new ones for the side repeaters, are they just the same as the bonnet in terms of fitting?

but the z4 ones fit on with screws unlike the other ones that just 'plug' in surely there is some difference?

also they are 70mm badges apparently, according to real oem (mine measures 78mm across i think :headbang: )
 
Search under the threads for carbon fibre badges. All the sizes are posted there as several members have done full set changes. Lucy was the last IIRC
You cannot buy a non OEM badge that fits perfectly and will have to shave the rear off slightly to bed in. Only OEM has bolts aftermarket need bonding down. Most cut pins off for the sides and use 3M tape or as I did silicone to bond them on.
 
I have been looking at a set of the carbon fibre badges to replace mine, thought it might look good on a black car. any opinions?
 
Been looking at the black an white sets on flebay. You can get a full set of 7 badges for £41 delivered from Taiwan. They reckon they'll fit a Z4. Not sure what the quality is like but cheap enough for a gamble...

I purchased a full set and then Lucy and they are tremendous quality, with the CF weave clearly visible under a resin dome.
He'll do you a deal if you mention other members purchasing.
 
I was in the region of £80 inc P&P for bonnet, boot, 2 side repeaters, 4 wheel centres and steering wheel centre (although think about this one as OEM is pressed metal and clamped on, so in airbag deployment you don't eat badge!!!)

I used this seller on CJ's recomendation when changing my badges to CF, there was a problem with one of the badges and he exchanged it no questions asked, maybe not the cheapest on the web but could'nt argue with his service. :thumbsup:
 
Yep i changed to carbon fibre badges not too long ago. Think i paid 80 for the full set too. And cannot fault the guy on Ebay at all, great recommendation from CJ. I stuck them all on with silicone.
The sizes are,
Bonnet 73mm
Side and boot 82mm
Wheels 65 mm
Steering wheel 45mm

they look really nice on black, i think i will get a set. he emailed me back with £85 for 9 badges so not to bad. cheers for the pics lucy :thumbsup:
