help: iffy car, worth it?

alright guys, i need some help here, i've spotted a great deal if it turns out, but i cant talk to the guy till tomorrow. i found a grey with red trim for 9988 usd or £6304 roughly. which is a few grand cheaper than the average equivalent. i can see that it looks like the right hand front fender looks like it has been pushed in, which if thats the only problem, then i can live with it, and i will be talking to the dealer tomorrow about purchase, but assuming its a worst case scenario. what might it run me to replace the struts and suspension components on that side. also for that price what else could be wrong with it. everything else looks great otherwise, the interior seems to be in particularly good shape. (dont mind the wood trim, i will be replacing that asap) but please any advice and expertise would help. there are only three of these with red interiors for sale in the entire u.s. as far as i can tell, this one, another one that is wrecked and one that is on the far end of my price range so pretty nervous about this. give me the worst that could go wrong!

seriously about to pee my pants with excitement if you all approve of this . i'm thinking about having the dealer throw the car on a lift and snapping some photos of the suspension for me to see if it has anything bent or crushed under there

Hmmm dunno about the car but the dealer review doesn't sound good. Only one but you could end up paying that few extra grand you are saving.

Hi, I can't see much about the fender in the photos. Looks like a nice car generally. I suggest next thing you should do is test drive it. Nothing like hearing the engine IMHO. If like it, get the accident history report. Sorry, no idea about suspension and strut prices.

it just looks a bit unloved honestly..

here, i will just directly post the photos, not going to bother with the interior, as it looks pretty pristine besides being dirty.

here you can see the big damage along with some scuffs on the bumper, which i imagine is to be expected.

on the left side of the bumper you can see a large gap.

looks like a pretty major scuff here

they were happy to to give a very wide shot of their building here...

I would check if they are scuffs or bad repairs first.
If its the second i would think to myself why and if so who has done it.
Where the front bumper is hanging low see if a clip has been broken and look around the area for any other damage. check to see if the suspension area/wheel and tyre look brand new.
The only think i can see that differs from the advert is the fact it has wood trim instead of an aluminium dash and centre console as stated.

Dont know if thats any help?

well the problem is, that i'm in no position to go inspect the car myself right now. i think i've decided to just let this one go. i haven't really decided between grey or white yet anyways :roll:

If you have doubts about the car or the dealer it's best to walk away. I've made big mistakes when I've caught 'the fever' and chased a specific model or spec', you can become blind to the basics. Personally it looks a bit 'dog eared' and I would need to be convinced about the service and repair history before I touched it with that mileage, remember someone sold it for a reason? If we are honest we generally sell because there is a concern about big bills on the horizon or running costs. Add a service, set of tires, fix a few little things and you are looking at $2000+!

The next 'must have' motor will come along soon enough

appreciate it guys, i'm going to bring my next choice here as well, i'm afraid my excitement is going to get the best of me, and i'm going to make a rash decision in my purchase

Theres a check list link in my signature which may help when buying pre owned (some bits for UK only). HOWEVER it can become an expensive mistake if you let your heart rule your head...
