Help - dodgy revs after cold start - 3.0

Hi everyone

Am having a bit of trouble with my 3.0.

When I start it from cold I invariably get a good old engine stumble and recovery, like this;

(foot not on accelerator) Turn key, engine fires and revs immediately climb to about 1300-1400 then they start to fall slowly until they get to about 450-500 (the stumble) then it coughs, recovers and then sits at a nice 1100-1000 while warming up, then idles perfectly at 750-800.

So - I thought I'd check all inlet pipe work and also clean the idle control valve (was pretty much clean anyway). No splits or dodgy hose clips on the inlet. Also cleaned DISA valve and it works because you can hear and feel it operate at 4200 rpm at WOT on normal driving.

Long term fuel trim read off the ECU was +3.7% so doubt anything MAF related.

I'm just resetting the ECU now (leaving the battery off for 15 mins) but apart from that, anyone got any ideas?

Any other typically failing valves, pipes etc etc?

Had plugs 1k ago, currently running on tesco 99 but has had vpower too.

Performance is fine and mpg is typically 30-31 in mixed driving so I am assuming that's ok too.

Help!
