Hi all,

Been lurking a little while now as I look into Z4 ownership!
Currently have a mk1 MX5 but it's too uncomfy for me now and fancy a bit more power and creature comforts, hence the Z4!
Looking at most likely a 3.0 so just looking into faults etc and trying to find the right car!

Welcome. You could do a lot worse than buy a car from the forum, as they are generally well maintained by enthusiastic owners.

If you state your budget and requirements I'm sure people here will offer a few suggestions.

Purchased a 2008 3.0si with 40k miles 12 months ago, now 50k miles (Jan 2016) and no problems at all. I am hoping these engines are built for at least 150k and beyond (as long as the car is serviced properly) and the coil packs are replaced as and when needed. So far, great car :D

Welcome along, I recognise the username from another forum?

Fault wise there's nothing major to report, make sure all the electrical functions work, especially that the roof is smooth, and listen for any knocks/bangs on the test drive.

I've covered 50k in mine and it's been brilliant.

I Purchased a 2008 3.0si with 35k miles 6 months ago, now 42k miles (Jan 2016) and no problems at all

Thanks all!

I get around :D

Like any car, maintain it properly - simples. Do not worry about the faults - once you get hooked, just be wary about the expense of the modifications
