to polish the engine i used autosol metal polish, its taken me about 2 weekends to get it perfectly shiny, sadly the pics dont show off the true shine, the brace is a great upgrade i can recommend it to all z4m owners, on the roadie it makes a sizeable difference!! plus looks ACE under the bonnet.

the cars now under its cover in my garage ready to be stored till winters over, hopefully we'll get an indian summer so i can continue to use the car!!!

thank you for the welcomes, ive actually being browsing this forum for a long while, but since i just treated myself to my new strut brace for my 24th i decided to post up my first post, with loads of pics!!!

cheers everyone!!

this is my first house so one of the biggest criteria was a large garage, sadly i couldnt afford a house with a double garage but did manage to find one with a larger than usual single, also when i rewired the house i placed strip lights around the garage for perfect light when it comes to polishing and working in the engine bay area, i also had some double plugs fitted at engine bay height for trickle chargers ect ect, the GTR is about the same size as a 5 series, ive tested fitted the garage but trying to put in an x5, it do go in but it left one problem, i had to climb out the boot. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

david im looking at these pics thinking will CSLs suit a roadster?? ive never seen a silver z4mr with CSLs, thats either a good thing or a bad thing!!!

Yep theres a few of us round here, I seen a silver z4mr being driven round here by a girl not yours is it?

arhh on the plus side re the strut brace for those who want to know, you no when you pushing the m really hard and you start to feel the front end almost hopping, particuarly on un even back roads, the strut brace really goes along way in reducing this, it inspires much more confidence and i can honestly say its a worth wile purchase for this car, its not overly expensive and also looks great.

go for it!!!

I've been at my folks in Worcestershire for the last 2wks.. not too far from Solihul or Sutton Colfield.. Could have had 3 for that meet but I'm off tomoro.. for a few weeks at least.. Need to outdo those northern lakes boys.. :P :poke:

Welcome to the Forum. Should of bought an S2000  Seriously, nice car, personally I love the CSLs on the coupe - in fact it's rare to see one without changed wheels. But on the roadster I prefer the stock wheels. Matter of taste I guess.
