Hi there
Been lurking for a while. but need some advise so thought id best introduce myself.

First off my Zed's developed the Clunking Diff noise. The local Indy has told me its most likely the CV on the end of the propshaft. he's happy to lighten me of £250 for the repair. which does seem reasonable however, I normally work on my own cars. (having had a string of Alfas you tend to start doing this) I was wondered if its and easy job. also where to get the parts. as I don't fancy stealer prices.

The second thing is, I would like to fit a full power flex bush kit. again the Indy quoted a fairly reasonable £232. again my question is would this be easy to do my self or do some of the bushes need to be pressed in.

this is all for my 2003 3.0 Z4 Manuel

your advise is much appreciated.

Thanks Andy

Andy,

Welcome to the Forum. :)

Link below to drive shaft components (may need to change your model):

http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E85/Roadster/Europe/Z4_3.0i-M54/RHD/N/2005/september/browse/drive_shaft/drive_shaft_cent_bearing_universal_joint/

Quick Internet search shows several agents/dealers offering discount prices on the parts. Joe at SOPERS in Lincoln is good for offering the best prices on OEM. Quick search will find you his details.

Sorry can't answer you queries on DIY but someone will

Thanks I must admit Ive been lazy I did search a little didn't really come up with much. and I haven't had time to jack the car up yet to have a poke my self.

Thanks Again
