Hello - Question re etiquette.

Hello all, thanks for accepting my registration. I was wondering if one of the Moderators could advise if my post is allowed and apologise if it’s in violation or considered poor form, please let me know and feel free to delete my post.

It’s been many years since I owned a Phoenix Yellow 2.5si E85. I did belong to one of the forums at the time but didn’t really post, using the forum for help and information.

I sold my Z4 (I know bad move) to purchase a Boxster which I have also since sold. When I had my Z4 I purchased from Chandlers Worthing (based in Angmering West Sussex) a genuine Phoenix Yellow BMW hardtop which was used a couple of time and then stored ever since, In a small industrial unit which is currently being cleared as I have to vacate, hence, I will need to sell the hardtop, as I won’t have room to store it long term once I’ve vacated the unit.

Before listing for sale on eBay, Am I allowed to post the hardtop for sale in the marketplace section? as I don’t want to step on any toes if that’s not allowed. I assume that it may be of more interest to forum members than eBay. Obviously if I can, the hardtop would need to be collected and I am based in Bognor Regis for info.

Sorry for the long post and apologies in advance if I’ve broken and rules.

Thanks raymond.harper for your reply :) it’s much appreciated. I don’t post on forums very often and always worry, as would hate to upset anyone.

As raymond has said I really can't see it being a problem posting an advert on here.

It's free and a good target audience too, although there aren't too many Phoenix Yellow E854s around. Good luck anyway.

:) Many thanks it’s appreciated. Yes, It’s a bit of a niche colour (a relative of mine referred to it as baby poo) but imo it looked stunning.

I love Phoenix Yellow, especially with the matching Bi-Colour seats. :)

I never see the big issue with forums moaning about the only reason the forum was joined was to sell something, can nobody see it from the angle of the first oppertunity was presented to enthusiasts and could well be a bargain as opposed to Barry from Dagenham winning it on eBay after a few Stella’s then putting it in his garage for two years and trashing it as he doesn’t have a z4.

Or, joining a forum to buy a car as many of us have done. Although I suppose we usually stay a bit longer :D

A number of the people that have joined here to sell cars have only done so when it has failed to sell elsewhere.

Buying things over the internet requires trust. Some forums require a certain amount of posts, or sometimes subscriptions to sell things due to previous issues.
