Hello....newbie from West London....

Hey guys,

Finally got round to joining. Owned the car for about 3 months now. 2003 3.0i Sterling Grey Full BMWSH.

Ok, not the most exciting, but so far I have changed one thing and one thing only...the wheels. They are hypersilver 18" CSL replicas.

I'm in West London and cannot wait to get to know you guys online and in person.

I am grateful for the tips and advice I've got through the forum so far.

Evening guys,

Thank you for the warm welcome messages.

I have since my first post (only yesterday!) done two more mods... (excluding the brodit phone holder)

6-spd ZHP gear knob

Recovered steering wheel, with perforated leather and M sport stitching from royalsteeringwheels.com which was fitted today. Really pleased with the feel, right amount of softness with chunky feel. I don't plan on adding multi-function buttons, I think the three spoke look is good and clean as it is and the fact the headunit is within pretty good reach.

I know the purists won't like the M knob and M stitching, but I think its just the right amount of 'M'.

My next and final mod (!)...will be a stubby.

Wheel & ZHP look great... I can't say anything about the M Stitching as mine's got the same!

Welcome, and well done for picking not only the right car, but the right colour, really like the steering wheel and the CSLs, I seriously doubt that a stubby will be your last mod

the generalist, nice steering wheel. How much did it cost? Just bought a 2003 Zed and I fancy I'll be doing the same mods! The interior needs sprucing up - seats professionally refurbed, new gear knob, new carpets, new steering wheel, etc. The standard 108 alloys are great. I'm torn between replacing them or having them refurbished. The hood has moulds and needs some serious TLC. The future is bright...

Welcome. I've only just (re) joined the forum too and am based in NW2. Looks like we can get a good convoy going the next time there's a meet.
