Hello all!

I first came to be aware of the z4-forum during my long (nigh on year :tumbleweed: ) search for a well looked after and well loved Z4, for my VERY first car, (I fell in love with them years ago when I received a lift in one :D :driving:  ) down here in mercurial (seriously the weather is madness down here) Melbourne, Australia.
Such knowledge did I gain that I swore I would join the moment I finally acquired my baby
...well I've found and had him (indeed, my Zed is a HIM!) for just under 3 months now and feel it is my duty and honour to make a first post!

Without further yammering on my part (I do that a lot I'll be frank) allow me to introduce myself, and my car Zander!

Oh, I've been THOROUGHLY making use of the top down weather! while it lasts/ed :(

What a car to have on your Ps! I bet your friends are all envious!

Make sure you look up Bimmer Club Australia on Facebook and you can meet some like-minded locals. They also do awesome fun driving runs and events ;)

Thanks all!
Looks like it's a very nice and sunny day today! (after a veritable downpour the last two days)
Top down driving here I come! :driving:

Based on a TV programme we have here called "Escape Down Under" I can't believe it rained in Australia! But then I was in Melbourne in October 2010 and it was about 8 degrees C - had to get some weather gear in Victoria Market!

Anyway, enjoy your Z4 OP - just don't hoon!

Well unless you know some quiet back-roads. And don't go for it on Holiday weekends with the doubled fines!

How do you guys put up with that sort of cr*p?

Hello and welcome aboard.

Now let the spending begin on mods and the odd little issue which these lovable cars like to throw at us every now and then :driving:

ahh I've already replaced the radiator! (the poor fellow had a hairline crack in the pipe leading to the radiator :fuelfire: :( )
And me thinks, it is time for some new rims/wheels...

Gladly done in the name of love!

Oh yes, I was over for 5 weeks on a business trip in April 2010, then back for another 5 weeks on holiday that October!

Given the speeding and hooning issues it made me wonder why anyone would actually buy a V8 Holden - sadly that may be why it soon won't be an option! :(

Hope you get the opportunity to enjoy your Z4!

I suspect that may be just the reason people still go for them! an endangered species always attracts coveting :') :'(

Oh always!, most of my friends (sans a few exceptions) love their jdm cars and while I'm not averse to them somehow they don't beat a Z4 for overall feel and enjoyment not to mention that perfect top down drive :driving:
