Quick introduction - on another forum I frequent, out of the blue I had an opportunity to purchase a '99 2.8. Z3. Not actually been looking for one (!) but as it wasn’t much money (under £3k), and son was willing to share, we were thinking it could be fun! However, once I started to do my research we quickly realised that an e85 was within budget too and that appealed to us a lot more!
My "toy" history has included Westfield 7, Chimaera, Elise S2, Mk1 MX5, Boxster. I currently drive a CLA 45 S/B.
Son has progressed from a Mito to a 350Z and now a tuned M140i in 4 years of driving!!
(Dont know where he gets it from!!).
So the search is on! We have decided that our ideal is a facelift 2.5 manual. Sport seats are nice but think the SE ride maybe preferable! Don’t mind higher miles so long as backed up with history. Don’t really want a “project” but realise that we’re unlikely to get something that’s perfect within our £4K budget.
