Hi first post, owned my Z - an E86, manual, in Titan Silver - for a few weeks now after buying from another forum member also based in Bath. I've been lurking on here for a couple of years while waiting for the 'right' car. Funnily enough the 'right' car was meant to be an auto, missed out on a couple for various reasons, and when this one came up a few minutes from my front door I decided just to get on with it. Not regretting the decision at all… although next car will definitely be an auto. Maybe.Zilla after detailing.jpg

Hi and welcome to the forum, and Coupe ownership.

You did well finding one that close - even if it isn't an Auto.

My 1st was 50 miles away, and my current one was over 100 miles away!

Yeah, I took spotting one that close as a sign that maybe it was time to move from spending all my spare time looking for a Coupe to actually owning one. Plus combing through the database I realised the chances of finding exactly what I was after: auto, Cirrus trim, Stratus Mettalic, with red leather were vanishingly rare.
Silver had been my original first colour choice before then moving on to Montego Blue, followed by Monaco Blue, then Black Sapphire - went to look at a lovely one of those in London that was advertised here earlier this year, by an odd coincidence the pictures were shot while the then owner was staying in Bath, literally around the corner from where I live - would've bought that, but life intervened. I then moved on to Stratus Metallic.
…And then I became less bothered about the colour. After looking at a few coupes I came to realise that the different colours show off the E86 in different ways (all of them good). I really like the way the Titan Silver accentuates the lines, but then I also like the way the darker colours soften them for a more subtle effect and Montego Blue and Stratus Metallic give a nice balance between the two.
And of course once you're driving it the colour becomes a lot less relevant.

Welcome, you got there in the end. Nice looking car, I’m sure you will enjoy driving it and being part of the Z4 community.

Welcome,
That looks very much like Spikeys Coupe, in which case you've bought a well loved car
Ive spent many an hour either following that or looking at it in my rear mirror :D

Actually you might have had to wait a long time to find an Auto Coupe with Cirrus aluminium and red leather - and then it might have been at the other end of the country!

But I can see why you'd want Cirrus - my Coupe has it and it's so much nicer than the standard brushed finish (although I'd have preferred Piano Black ideally).

Anyway just keep enjoying your manual Coupe for now. :driving:

Welcome along, I’m in Bath also! Yep, I’ve seen the car before also; bought from a good previous owner! Lovely car :driving:

Thanks all, yes that is indeed Spikey's car though that's not what he was called on the V5
It's gone back to its original (slightly odd) number plate now DG55 AAA, I'm imagining its first owner made it big in batteries, or possibly a credit rating agency and it was a 55th birthday present. Maybe.
I've seen a couple of other Z4 Coupes in Bath, a black one parks on the Wellsway just round the corner from me, and there's a Montego blue one about half a mile away too. One of my neighbours drives a roadster which there seem to be loads of in these parts, don't see the top down very often – it's not called Bath for nothing.

Welcome. I was in your neck of the woods on Monday through to Wednesday of this week. Couple of nights at the holiday Inn express so that we could visit the Christmas markets

I too followed that around wales
Great well cared for car
Check out forum meeting as breakfast meeting in Cirencester be good to see the car again
