Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well.

Just realised I posted in the wanted/for sale section before I even posted in here. So I'm rectifying that

Recently discovered the beauty of the e89 and looking to hopefully join the community of owners sometime in the near future when the right one comes up. Last car was a 99' Merc SLK, so a big fan of the folding metal roof convertible (driving with the roof down in the sun is just peak motoring for me, nothing better) and couldn't resist wanting a newer more refined version with that ability to be both a hard top and convertible.

Specifically looking at the 35i model, need to search the forum for testimonials of these cars to get some more opinions, basically searched for all the videos I can find on youtube about them already in a short space of time

Hi and welcome.
The 35 and 35is are the same N54 engine, the latter with a little 'remap' from the factory.

Just be mindful that neither will look like the modded ones you have seen on the tube without money being spent. Also do your homework on the N54, it can be an expensive mistress.
It is a great engine, when it works. :wink:
If you have the deep pockets, they are great cars (all E89s) and do have the looks. One of BMW's finer moments in design IMO.
