Hi everyone,
I picked up a ‘nearly new‘ 10 months old 23i last week, Alpine White with Coral Red interior and 3k miles. I haven’t stopped smiling yet
I’ve spent a couple of weeks lurking around the site before buying – I was originally looking for an older Z4 but having seen all the pictures on here I fell for the E89 shape massively and managed to dig a bit deeper and get a newer model. Really glad I decided against a TT and SLK!
Looking around the site was a big help in getting an idea of what to look for etc, so thanks to everyone who posted their experiences as it really helped.
After reading some comments about aftermarket wind deflectors I decided to go with a BMW one, which I’m waiting to be delivered via ebay (thanks to the person who posted about E89’s being broken on there!). The one I’ve bought comes with the hoop covers so I won’t have to try the mod myself (thankfully, despite everyone saying how straightforward it is – I don’t want to be drilling just yet!).
This is my first convertible, and my first BMW since a 10 year old E30 3 series about 10 years ago, and I’m absolutely loving it. Quite a step up from my old Pug 307. Havent been far in her yet, but looking forward to a weekend drive from South to North Wales in a couple of weeks - and hoping the Bank Holiday weather holds out!
Here’s some pics:
Cheers
Adam
