HEL Braided brake lines question

Hi all,

My 2003 E85 3.0i failed its MOT the other day due to excessively corroded rear brake lines.

I've recently had the long hard line section that runs through the channel under the car replaced, up to the flexi hoses that go to the rear trailing arms. As you'll know, these then connect to a short hard line on the trailing arm before another flexi hose runs to the caliper.

I've been quoted around £400 to replace the corroded rear sections, so I'm considering fitting the HEL Performance 6-line braided hose kit instead.

My question is: has anyone fitted this kit to an E85, and if so, do the four rear braided lines eliminate the short hard line section on the trailing arm, or do they only replace the existing flexible hoses and retain the hard line?

Also, HEL mention they can customise lines if needed — is there anything I should specify in the notes when ordering to suit this setup, or is the standard kit sufficient as-is?

Any photos or installation experiences would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

If it helps at all, I just went and ordered my own custom lines (not yet fitted them) for the rear, so it's just one piece from the calliper back to the chassis. £90 posted for both.
