Heated Seat Light won't turn off!

Hello Folks,

I am fortunate enough to own a 2007 2.5 Si Roadster. An incredible car .

I'm off on a road trip to Spain next week, and something is bugging me.

A few weeks ago, with no obvious changes to anything, the passenger side heated seat light (stage 1) comes on as soon as the ignition is switched on. The heater itself does not come on (thankfully in this weather), and when you press the button the heater does work as expected. But I can't get the light to go out...

I can see from the forum that some people have experienced an issue when the light doesn't stay on, mine is the opposite!

I don't know if it's a symptom of a wider electrical fault or just a small issue such as fuse/connectors not being plugged in properly.

Any help/pointers would be much appreciated.

I appreciate the irony is it's shaping up to be the hottest day of the year in the UK...

Hope you're all enjoying your cars in this weather.

Cheers
Sam

One idea might be to swap the switches, if it follows the switch, problem identified,
if not, then check power feeding both switch’s and compare (with volt meter)

(process of elimination)

Perhaps others have some incite?

Thank you Migizi for your post - a good suggestion to start!
I will order a replacement switch and see.

Cheers
