Heated //M seat weight and interior colour

A few very quick questions.
1.How much heavier are heated ///M seats over the none heated seats?

2.What is the impact of buying an ///M with the leather interiour completely replaced? This has been done by the BMW dealer, a complete interiour swap done with another ///M to change the colour. I assume people would be put off because the car will no longer match the original factory spec so and also could be harder to sell in the future (spec sheet says black interior but interior is another colour). I know from experience that ///M as they become older and have more of a cult status, enthusiasts want 'original' cars.

Thanks

Darren

My Dad bought a 7 series in 1986 and the dealer swapped the beige interior for a black one for him - but that was some time ago! I know of a few UK dealers who told me they would retrim certain cars that had cloth with leather if it was affecting resale, but other dealers look at you in horror when they hear it, so it's very difficult to say...if it's all done properly with a proper OEM interior and perhaps a letter from the dealer explaining they did it, I can't see the harm, it just will be listed wrong on the BMW GB database / VIN tag etc.

I don't think the heated seats weigh anymore? it's only a thin heating element

I at one point worked for Volkswagen and used a very good retrimmer. On one occassion we gave them a job to have a complete VW leather interior put into a beetle. The finish was amazing and had all the same stitching/airbags etc. as in the original. Honestly, you could not tell that it was not a factory spec car. There are some amazing retrimmers around - and the fact yours would be actual bmw seats anyway I cant see the issue.

I dont think people are necessarily bothered by a basic spec sheet held on a manufacturers computer - my guess is the majority dont even check - or if its something as vast as an interior might regard a 'cloth' spec showing as an error.
