Heartz Dream Drives

Being a hertz gold member everytime i go to the states and hire a car my little Nissan Versa (or similar!) ends up being dodge charger. The last time they even gave me camry... in yellow like bumblebee from transformers!

We don't get that sort of free upgrade in UK.

I have had a 5 series and range rover once in the UK instead of the usual 1.6 astra.. admittedly both in NI.

I got a 5 series in Ireland as well as an upgrade, took me forever that even though the seats are electric in angle adjustments, they are manual in backwards / forwards and it was pitch black :).

I hired the cheapest class of car (Aygo/C1) for a drive to collect a new car 450miles away... Luckily they had none in stock so got given a VW Passat TDI 140 estate with DSG gearbox and cruise control as a no-extra-cost replacement :)

And on honeymoon in Australia a few years ago we'd already hired a car when we were out at Uluru (Ayer's Rock) - some Hyundai car-shaped piece of sh*t. We had another hire booked to drive from Sydney to Brisbane and I played the "honeymoon" card at the collection desk. Ended up with a 3.0 V6 Toyota (Camry I think) instead. FAR better.

You should be so lucky. I'm Hertz gold and booked a Toyota Yaris. End up with a Hyundai i30 as it's the same group.

First glance it looks ok but up and down mountain passes exposes how poor it is :( no torque no guts and vague steering...

10 days before I see the Zed again :(
