Interesting... I just had a look at that ad, those last 3 pictures look very familiar :?

Someone one here selling it or are we being pilfered by the public at large?

I bought it. Worried now after reading the last thread that Ive been conned. I think its probably someone off here, strange that he didnt advertise it on here, would have sold it and saved the fees. Fingers crossed.

Sure you'll be fine mate - suspect the seller just needed some pics of the wheel in situ. Have you got MF spokes or are you going to try and transfer your old ones across? Remove delicately! If you haven't seen it already sideshowbob did a How To that's worth a look.

Seller's right about one thing, it's a great mod

Think I prefer the standard wheel actually, I have the M one on my iS but think the slimmer wheel is slightly better :)

Not mine as the one I had sold last week, which lead to an interesting email/phone conversation this morning with Alfie as we managed to get our wires crossed somewhat!
Glad we managed to work out what was going on in the end though, I'm sure it'll show up - it's fairly easy to mod and makes a great difference. Be careful unclipping the trim from your old wheel, needs a bit of force in places, I found it best to start at the outer edge. Don't forget to take photo's of how the old one is screwed together too before dismantling it.

Im using my old ones, I have read the thread and will take care. cant wait for it to arrive now. Ive always thought the standard wheel was a bit thin in a 'driving miss daisy' sort of way

I think I snapped a point of two on my old spokes, but I did keep them. PM me if you do damage any I may have spare one you can have.

Hope it turns up soon, good luck fitting

Just to say, fitting the silver vertical spoke on an M wheel is an utter swine, but it will go - an odd mix of patience and force.

Sorry to have caused a bit of in fighting with my original post.
But just checking his other items he also has a E85 rear diffuser it might be of interest to someone, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-BMW-Z4-E85-E86-AERO-Bodykit-Rear-Bumper-Diffuser-/220604976319?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item335d14ccbf

Also strangely the picture of the wheel he was selling is a non //M wheel (black stitching) and the pictures at the bottom show an //M wheel (coloured stitching)....

Something odd about that ad...

I noticed that but just thought he was using stock photo's, I know it wont have the dual colour stitching. He's emailed me to say its posted. Looking good so far.

He did - the bottom three pictures are mine! From the two "bald" wheels side by side are from one of my threads on here.

I think this is the M wheel for the Si Sport models, also available as an aftermarket option. The wheels with the coloured stitching are from the real deal genuine M. Other than the stitching I believe they are identical.

It arrived today, the day after I had paid for it. Its as described, brand new, smells lovely :P

Will fit it this weekend. I have read the thread about disconnecting the battery, will this mean stuff needs resetting? I dont think the radio is coded. If it is Im buggered.

Force and patience are on order for removing the silver trim bits. Wish me well

No! Patience and a light touch for removing... force for putting the bottom one on - you really need to push the bottom into the leather on the wheel as the indentation isn't there.

I'll dig the spoke out tonight and see what's in good nick... in case you decide you want to cut the bottom one.

Battery disconnect just resets the OBC - well the trip stuff you can see - and the clock. My radio's always been fine.

Good luck
