HI,

I am new to the site and looking for a bit of help and advice please...

My nearside headlight is full of condensation and the actual headlight has now stopped working.. I am thinking of replacing both units but cant seem to find anywhere that sells them in the UK... Any ideas??

Hi

Welcome! The Z4 lights can be tricky if the back plates are not secure. When the water is in, it can be a bxtch to get sorted but with patience it can be achieved!

You should update your signature with vehicle details as that will help many give you the correct advice for your car. Also it depends on what you are after? OEM or aftermarket?

These are the ones I went for! A few forum members also have them :thumbsup:

I'm thinking of doing a headlight upgrade. The link you gave seems a great deal, but the details say they are for left hand drive. Are these the ones you used? Can the LHD version be adjusted for RHD?

Hi Drop them a line and specify RHS!
 
My lights don't suffer from condensation, but the projector lenses are quite milky in appearance - almost as if there is a haze on them. I'd like to take them apart and refurb them, but I don't know how easy this would be. Has anyone had similar problems and fixed it?

Try some abrasive toothpaste like Arm & Hammer and a bit of elbow grease before taking the whole unit apart. It's surprising how effective that can be...

I'll be getting the hairdryer out this weekend for my offside lens as it's getting worse and worse!

Yes, very common problem.

Buy 3m's headlight restoration kit. I got it from ebay for £16 or so.

Might still be repairable: did you check the back cover of the lights? The rubbers may be gone or the cap is not well fixed. Check the headlight fuses to see whether a fuse has blown. New headlights are expensive and the aftermarket ones aren't great (the angels are not very bright).
