Headlights

In my wisdom I have bought a replacement N/S Xenon headlight for my 2006 3.0 Si that is black when my O/S one is silver inside... Anybody have any suggestions as I thought about stripping it and painting the silver one black but it looks quite scary… Your advice would be greatly appreciated...
 
Many have split them for various projects.

You’ll need to cut them apart with a dermal or similar though.
