Headlight height?

Hi guys, my lovely HID kit is being ever so slightly ruined by the fact that the right side seems to be pointing a tad high. How do I go about adjusting the height? It is definitely fitted properly, nothing untoward.

There are manual adjusters at the back of the headlight units, even if your lights have auto level, you will need to set the base height to the correct level. Best bet is to remove front bumper and headlight units and look for the white knurled adjusting screws. Take care when adjusting as crud buildup in the mechanism can cause the plastic to thread.

It could be that your lights have ribbed glass lenses - these can spray the headlight.

or you can take 7 or 8mm allen key, open the bonnet and adjust the hight in less than a minute

You can do that, but then like I did you may thread them..wgich means they're competely stuck and can cause you to fail MOT - And let me tell you to sort it is a massive ball ache. But hey, go for it!

The last time my car was MOT'd, the scrote wound them right down to the extent you could see the main beam circle on the road not that far ahead... took about 6/7 full turns to get them back up to a reasonable height without dazzling anyone

I understand how that might happen mate, if I am meeting some sort of resistance then I will leave it be and go with your method. Hopefully it'll be ok though.

I'll make sure I don't do an adjustment like the guy did on your car Jembo! I am not sure whether one side is sitting too low or one side is sitting to high now that I think about it!
