60 quid  is it any wonder they're able to afford plush garages and free coffee's for all.

had 2 coffees and nicked 2 muffins to lessen the blow, on the plus side free wash and vac :D

Holly dit! That's some rate. Next time you need it changed I'll come do it for £50.

Suppose if your happy then that's all that matters. However basic car maintenance should be done by everyone. No wonder they now ask basic questions in the driving test.

The garage I bought my car from sent me a signed letter from the dealer principle saying I can just pop in for a coffee. Really? Not driving to Newcastle just for that!

you dont have to take the wheel off, just turn the wheel outwards

When you include a internal and external valet, loads of coffee & cakes, an hour or two relaxation with free wifi, the lamp itself and the fitting it isn't toooo bad. And theres usually a bit of eye candy on reception !

Would you rather pay £15/£20 for the lamp, spend £10 in your local Costa with the pushchair brigade sat adjacent, whilst the Polish car wash take you for a tenner too, before going home to spend 2 hours trying to fit it yourself ?

Id love to nip into BMW wait 20 mins and pay £25 but that aint going to happen !

Whilst shocked to start with, on reflection I'm with the OP here

.....By the way I paid for mine at the dealer too (£60) after reading the "four hour bleeding hands" thread on here. I could make it five hours!

im a complete novice when it comes to doing any work on cars... but i managed to replace both my headlight bulbs yesterday as passenger side went at weekend, and i managed to do both in about 20mins..... no grazed knuckles or anything, i just had to refer back to the "how to" manuals on here and set of Philips Extreme Vision 100% brighter bulbs were about £20 so all in all a bargain :D

only thing i struggled on was twisting them back in as i was too scared to put too much pressure on in case i damaged something.... then i manned up and just twisted harder and it popped back in fine lol
