I’ve just had this warning pop up on the screen of the 335 but I suspect the Z uses the same systems.

Anyone else had the same?

Hi Ron. I would suspect that a headlight level sensor on the suspension has probably given up the ghost. Is your Z4 an E89 and what model/year of 335 do you have ? Do they share same/similar parts ?

Ron, I think listening to Radio 2 was the problem. :tumbleweed:

The FRM controls it..as Patriot66 says it probably the front or rear sensor that’s failed.

Thanks for the replies!

I have a BMW insured warranty with a £250 excess so it’s not all bad news.

The 335 is 2015 and the z4 is 2016 and I’m unsure what interchangeable parts they share.

I was out in the car tonight and the system now only dips the main beam - prior to the ! Warning main beam would swish to one side or make a “hole” in the beam pattern.

Update:-

The car went into have this sorted today and I've had a call to say it is a module in the LH headlamp unit.
Of course they don't stock a lot of spares in this day and age so it will now be ready tomorrow .
I don't know what the invoice will show but fortunately the BMW insured warranty will cover it

Update 2:-

New module installed but they tell me that they can’t get the module to communicate.
They are supplying me with a 2 series tomorrow as BMW Tech are now involved,
Nothing is simple
