Headlamp tint

My zed has the large orange indicator strip in the headlamp has anyone slightly and i mean slightly tinted the headlamp to try and disguise the orange.

I did see a post once where someone used tint spray to only cover the orange. Think they taped the headlight carefully and sprayed the tint.

Some people have used tint film to try and cover it with varying degrees of success. I've not seen anyone spraying them but I'm sure I've seen mail-order companies that you can send your lights off to to get tinted.

Thanks but that seems to be a headlamp conversion rather than just tinting the outside

Ah, sorry mate. Thought you meant tinting the orange hockey stick, which involves opening up the headlight.

Not sure if a lens tint would sufficiently take enough orange colour away. You would need to go pretty dark to hide the orange, which would restrict the light emitting from the headlights too much I reckon :(

Yeah I was wondering about the amount of tint needed myself.
The z4m in the gallery was just to give an idea of what it looks like but it would have had a clear indicator.

Knew I'd seen it

The pic of the black z4 on top of page 4 is probably about as good as tint spray will get it.

Mine's black, and with a Z4M bumper soon to go on, I dont want that orange band either...

I think I could live with a light tint covering.

my computer says 'no'
