Looks interesting.....

Looks quite cheap for what it is, but I can't help think reading messages whilst driving is going to get you in trouble :-s Hardware looks a bit clunky to be stuck on a dash too :-(

We have oe heads up display in our 640 & it`s great. Drove the M4 with it as well & it`s not distracting at all. Recommend it

I have it on one of my other cars and it's great, and you can even angle the flip screen to whatever degree you want....granted I prefer the one which shows on the windscreen and not a flip display...

Looks good, my only concern is the size of the display and the angle, looks quite small and low. Edit - Display at 5.1" is probably the same as a tom tom etc...

Plus how is it powered? Edit - ODB2 powered and data connected is cool

Will have a look into this..

How would it mount on an E85/86 though as the dash is a bulge at that point whilst the demo there is flat?

Can't believe you would even consider fitting one of these, I know I wouldn't.

I don't agree with texts and so on be displayed though, nav display is a good idea.

I know I wouldnt use it for the texts / whatsapp etc. Definitely be nice to have google maps as an alternate to the poor BMW nav, digital speedo and some of the other ODB functions too. Best part is that it will probably work with all 3 cars we have meaning you can pick it up and go depending on what your driving.

I tried the very similar Garmin HUD a while back... I wouldn't bother again. OE HUDS = great, aftermarket HUDS = sadly not so great.

Yep.
It it illegal to hold phone on your ear and drive, but it's legal to tweet, update your facebook status, read messages, "write" messages etc... and other things that disturbs keeping eyes on the road

Where can you buy this from and how much???

Too impatient to wait for a response to your first post?

A quick Google could have identified for you that it is available for pre-order at $299, with orders expecting to ship some time in 2015.

Looks pretty good imo!

Also concerned that it wouldn't fit in the Z4.
Says Depth is 140mm

Cool bit of kit regardless
