Hatchback

This could go on all day. Not everyone wants a soft top not everyone wants a coupe.

The coupe is much more masculine and better looking in my opinion.

The new model isnt a soft top either it is more like a GT if anything, best of both worlds.

I can see the purpose of a coupe, to give a sleek shape that hides the fact that it is a 2+2, so that the guy/girl with a young family can still have a handsome, yet practical sports car......and this is where it falls down for me with the Zed.

From a previous thread, the Puma was so successful because it was a 4 seater as we're all the other great coupe's in history, with the probable exception of the Cayman. This could explain why the Z4C didnt sell particularly well, most went out and purchased the more practical 3 series coupe.

Exactly.

Maybe we should stop everyone having any choice - we should have one single manufacturer who produces one single design of car. Nobody shall ever need nor want anything bigger or smaller, faster or slower, soft or hardtopped, 2wd or 4wd, and everybody must have their car in the same dull and most boring a grey as possible.

i actually dont like the look of the roadster. the coupe has the best lines and looks like a proper sports car. the roadster looks worse than my girlfriends mini. The hardtop is also laughable.
Roadsters are for 50 - 60 year olds to drive around the countryside letting their grey hair (if any) blow in the wind.

:?

You're joking, right ? The mini is a great car, but really... And as far as I'm concerned age doesn't come into it - the coupe was obviously designed to appeal to potential buyers with less taste than their core market :fuelfire:

Bing - I thought you said 'I can only be trusted to observe' in an earlier post... :D

I can't, but I got the hump with this a little

As for you e89 coupe - it' kind of pointless unless it has two seats as suggested by sars... Perhaps the BMW designers were having this debate literally years before us, and that's why we have the e89... Which will probably be my next Z anyway :D

I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet !!! All you roadster drivers are secretly wishing you had bought a coupe, what can possibly be more embarrassing , you are sitting at the traffic lights with the canvas top down and along side comes a another rag top with a hairdresser driving and all her or his hairdressing equipment on the passenger seat, now you are thinking , "god i wish i had been patient and bought a coupe " . So, be quick and bag yourself a coupe because the demand is going to push up the price and join the exclusive Z4 Coupe owners club. :D :D

I'm sooooo getting one of those stickers

(and sticking on some random member's Z4 at the next meet  )
