Has Popey shrunk his balls I wonder. ?

*** "Balls Update" ***

Its on and its loud, I could not live with it as daily driver. Im also very aware of people turing to look "whats making all that noise", makes me feel slightly awkward (but I can live with that).

At the moment it sat a little too low, going to take take it to be tweaked today.

With regards to the Mrs Pope, she doesn't really mind it, in fact and I quote "its not as bad as I expected".

I found this useful for final adjustment tips.

I bet it sounds brill! with me being used to a TVR the first thing that disappointed me about my Z4M was the noise it made and how quiet it was so your new exhaust would be right up my street for sure. :driving:

Any thoughts to why its sitting so low on my car, can it be adjusted easily?

poppy if you loosen the bolts , you can Twist the rpi flange which is an odd shape, this shape lifts and drops the exhausts as you turn the flange.

Going to take it to be adjusted on wednesday, they look awful hanging so low (no. im not talking about my balls).

Thanks for the info guys :)

i use the DKF adjustable hangers to get this perfect, mm perfect!! lol! they also isolated so in theory stop some of the vibrations coming through to the cabin.

Regardless of fit, we need noise videos! Preferably with disgruntled pensioners shaking their walking sticks at you!

Have you got a link please bud?

me being me wanted to go OTT on exhaust hanger bling and adjustability (side to side and up-down) . They are beautifully made and as you can see of LOADS of adjustment, they are totally isolated also... not cheap doe :-(

Just a quick one, sorry if I'm been thick BUT....

Ive been looking at the fitting guide for the RPI, I cant work out how you adjust it from looking at the pics. I can see the end of the RPI system is an odd size, but if you rotate it the whole system will rotate and the brackets will be on the under side?

ok.... right.... here we go.

leave each unit on the correct side.... bolt all up but leave the bolts LOOSE, then twist the flanges, so turn them, ( the piece that connects this to the x-pipe) and you will see the cans move upwards and downwards at specific points, try to get as level as possible. ( not easy using this method) dkf hangers can do this in around 5 mins! plus they look cool.

All nice and level now, lot of arse to get them to look like.

I know have a love hate relationship with the RPI's, as much as I enjoy them at times and I hate them at others.
